VeloCity shortlisted for 704ha Colchester Garden Community masterplan
VeloCity is amongst 5 shortlisted teams in the competition to develop a 704ha masterplan for the Colchester Garden Community which should deliver a placemaking strategy for 9000 new homes setting a new standard for living and working in rural context. The competition brief seeks a strategic vision for an exemplar development to accommodate the growing population over the next 30 to 40 years by creating housing, employment and associated community facilities and infrastructure, which will put community-building and environmental sustainability at the fore.
Latimer (Tendring Colchester Borders Garden Community) Developments Ltd acts as Master Developer for the new community, and is the instigator of this competition.
